Here it is: "To concern oneself with politics is to make the mistake of the bull in the ring, which is to charge the cloth. In exactly the same way that the bullfighter conditions the bull to follow the cloth, politics teaches the masses to follow images and illusions."

What a metaphor. I believe that that would make the masses predictable and malleable, much as I believe they are. As a corollary, that also makes the bullfighter somewhat predictable as a corollary. This is why I try to counter the mood of the masses regardless of facts to neutralise at least one of the members of the masses, therefore making them less malleable. Long live chaos.
